Teatime (viii) will be about cartooning
My cartoons are workhorses. They are full-scale collages of traceline drawings that get re-scaled, chopped apart, stuck back down, re-worked, and shaded with charcoal. I specify placement of bars and leadlines, practice modeling objects, seek and incorporate feedback. Cartoons are partners to my designs. They’re where I make all major visual decisions.
Here’s part of a 25ft x 5ft cartoon. I’ll show a few slides in Teatime (viii) and talk more about this.
Others cartoon differently, and all roads are good.

Teatimes are FREE, informal, seventy-five minute Zoom gatherings about stained glass. I show 12-15 slides then open up for questions and conversation. Think of it like popping over to my house for a studio visit and afternoon tea.
I hold Teatimes on the first Saturday of the month, at 11am Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada), and am planning to add another weekday soon.
